We leave Reggio early and are going to Milan airport, and with Lachie. He is flying back to the US for his study, but Chiara is staying in Italy to start the field work for her study.
The Reggio train station building is cool. We are looking for carriage 8 again.
As we arrive at Milan station. Lachie sees an earlier connecting train to the airport. We rush with all our bags, we have 5 minutes of connection time. I am running and puffing. Bill has the heavy bags. We make it with 30 sec to spare. Otherwise, we would have had to wait another 20 minutes and Lachie's airport connection is tight. So phew!
No one says no to a photo. Phew again! Today is a travelling day. I may as well get some photos.
We saw a Neos plane - Lachie's airline - as we boarded our plane. It could not be Lachie's plane as he was supposed to go an hour and a half ago. But it turns out it was. His plane was late leaving. The joy of rushing and travelling. Bill has lots of coffee. One is enough for me. We are flying Air France.
We fly to Paris and arrive at our MOB Hotel by car transfer (some ticket deal Bill got). It is a bit different and I love it. Bill chose it in part because it is within walking distance of Stade de France (the 80,000 people capacity stadium the All Blacks and Les Bleus are playing at). We head to the gym and pool.
It is super cool. The garden (and all the food) is organic. The gym looks out on the garden on both sides. It looks like weeds to me. Easy to keep I am guessing. Bees would love it. I can't see any bees yet!
This is from our room window. I love the hairdo. It seems every second person smokes here. I don't think that guy was looking at me taking the photo. I was a long way away.
We go for a bit of a walk and then it is an early night.
