Rātapu/Sunday 16th June
Last round.
Bill backed Rose and I backed Rory for a back massage. As neither of us won and our feet were sore, we massaged each other's feet :).
The golf is history. Gary Woodland is the winner.
And when we read more up on him, I love the text Amy, the downs syndrome 12 yr old girl, sent to him after she played with him saying “You got this.” (Watch this 3min video, it's cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYSjFvCNP7Q.) And the way he said he "never got ahead of himself and it was all about the process". And his ability to play in the moment and be coachable. That is great wisdom, if you want to get better at anything!
This is what Gary said of his coach Sam Cowen. “He sent me an unbelievable text this morning that had nothing to do with my golf swing or technique,” Woodland said, referring to Cowen. “He said, ‘Every man dies, but not every man lives, and you live for this moment.’ I thought about that a lot today.”
More shots of Pebble Beach.
Phil hitting off the path.
Houses that border the course. (Too big for me, I would hate to clean.)
