Tuesday/Rārua
Lots of walking today. We walked to find sushi for lunch, and the weather was still fine and we walked to a 7pm comedy show we found in the Church Inn.
Birmingham really does have more canal miles than Venice. The whole Birmingham Canal Navigations (BCN) system adds up to 100 canals.
The night was funny. At the comedy show we both loved Josh Pugh. He was natural and quirky as you can see in this link https://youtu.be/PHhYOSn3qxY. He was English Comedian of the Year in 2016. That's him and me below.
But the only joke I really remember was from Lovdev Barbaga. He talked about going to a catholic school when he was young and how the nuns and priests talked about the church (a very big one) being God's house. And that it is also God's son's Jesus's house. What he could not get as a boy was how it was such a bloody big house for them to live in when they were never there :).
The line up of comedians we watched below. We missed Ben Briggs as we left.
Birmingham canals.
Look at the buildings in the background below. The Cube and ? - Birmingham has interesting buildings I thought. (And a lot of very, very boring 1960's ones too, Bill says.)
