Monday/Rāhina
Today we go to Wimbledon. On the way we met up with Sara, Rob and son Tom at their Wimbledon house . . .
. . . and just to prove we were there.
After a great catch up, Rob took us across the park so we would not get lost.
People camp overnight in this field to queue for Wimbledon. The queue was 3 km long.
I was there too.
If you haven't read any other blogs, I always photograph the tickets.
A very nice lunch at the Lawn. Bill got a package as it was the only way to get tickets online when he went online (about 9 months ago).
Of course you have to photograph the things which make Wimbledon Wimbledon.
Our view below. We watched Konta vs Kvitova, Federer vs Berrettini, and Nadal vs Sousa. Konta, Federer and Nadal were the winners. (You might have read that already.)
The Royal Box. Bill's tickets didn't get us in there.
We had a burger on the way home at the famous Dog and Fox (famous because Kyrgios stayed till midnight before playing Nadal the next day - Kyrgios lost). The burger was cheaper than the lunch at the Lawn.
Shops nearby showing their windows with a bit of Wimbledon.
