Monday/Rāhina
Dropped Bill off at Robin's Hobby Cafe. It really was my kind of cafe, with board game playing and the right name! I think Bill was the only one there, but at times it can get busy. A picture from their Facebook page.
I had found Pringle Chiropractic to see, just up the road, so Bill stayed at the cafe and worked and I went for a treatment. Paul Pringle has been all over the world. He only uses a machine thingy. It seemed to do the trick. Here is his gorgeous wife Maxine and her four poodles (one must have gone under the table). The poodles come to the clinic every day. She walks them at lunchtime in the park behind the practice. The treatment cost 30 pounds which I thought was reasonable.
Then we drove to Dublin. At a hotel convenient to us both, we met Caroline and Brent. Caroline had helped NEXT in New Zealand a lot. She is Irish, married to Brent, a Kiwi, and after living in New Zealand for six years they moved back to Dublin last year, where they have a property and are to stay - we thought.
It was a catch up for Bill and a new meet for me. I loved it. Both Caroline and Brent are bombs. They love chatting, are interested, and share themselves too. I felt like I had known them forever and we had some good laughs. And then they shared their big bomb - they are coming back to New Zealand! Brent has a job with Westpac and Caroline is looking. I am going to love catching up with them in New Zealand, especially on the boat they are going to buy to take me out on.
Then we headed for Roganstown Country Club to stay for a night before flying out to Birmingham the next day. We had a nice dinner in a seaside town called Malahide.
