Saturday/Rāhoroi
I returned to the cricket with Bill. Nearly the same seats as the first day. A lovely lunch again in the hospitality room.
And I also brought the paper with me. More about rivers. Reading this today it seems English rivers are going to be even more difficult to restore than New Zealand's.
I loved the action again today and England's Broad took 3 wickets. I am learning more about cricket. A dolly is a very easy catch. Nightwatchman - term for promotion of a non batsman into final overs. On the up - hitting the ball while on the rise.
Cricket summary: "Australia 124-3 and lead England by 34 runs – Chris Woakes and Stuart Broad gave England a useful lead of 90 at Edgbaston before the magnificent Steve Smith led a strong Australian fightback." Steve Smith looks good . If England can get him out before lunch, I think England will be good. But Smith could make another century!
